Up to now and over seven and a half years, we have created nearly 3000 bears and so we really know what we’re doing! Our unique and handcrafted patchwork cushion is a wonderful way to hold on to those precious memories. They are a double-sided 16 square cushion with a zip close that measures 45cm by 45cm. One patch can be personalised so please ensure you choose this option above before you checkout.
Once we receive your parcel it takes around six to eight weeks for you to receive your beautiful, handcrafted keepsake back.
What clothes can I send?
We get many questions about what clothing can be sent and so hopefully, you’ll find all the answers here.
Clothing types – We really can use most clothing as we line and stabilise ALL of our bears unlike many other keepsake makers and so this ensures uniformity in stability to the fabrics you send. However, there are a few types that really don’t work and they are as follows: Swimwear, socks, tights, sheer lace, loose and chunky knitwear (a very tight knit like a woven school jumper is ok), plastic rain mac material, heavy weight denim and leather.
Amounts to Send – For a baby clothes cushion we will require you to send between ten and fifteen babygrows or equivalent amounts of clothing. These numbers are based on babygrows size 3-6 months and so if you have lots of prem/newborn/vests or very small sizes, please do send a few extra items.
If you require a cushion made from adult clothing or uniform then we will need four to six items of clothing.
Notes/Special Instructions – You will receive more information about this in the email you get once you checkout but please do add a note in your parcel with anything specific you’d like included. We try our very best to grant your wishes but sometimes it’s not always possible. We will endeavour to contact you if this should be the case.
Scraps/Offcuts – Once we have created your keepsake, generally the remaining fabric is kept for a month or so but after that it is recycled. If you wish for your scraps and offcuts to be returned to you, please also include this on your note in the parcel.
How Do I Send My Items? – As soon as you have checked out, you will receive an email from us with all the instructions you need to be able to send your parcel to us. Please follow these very carefully to ensure your parcel is as safe as it can be in transit to us and to allow us to clearly identify it to you once we receive it. We cannot be held responsible for the transit of your parcel to us.
Cushions are sent home to a UK mainland address via a DPD Local next day delivery service. Once your keepsake is on it’s way, you will receive a text/email from DPD in which you can track and tailor your delivery.
Cushions going elsewhere will be sent via a tracked and signed for Royal Mail service.
Shipping cost is £11 per parcel.
